Wind Streamlines //

Remember the good old Vasari? It was a beta environmental software famous for wind tunnel testing that was left forgotten. Autodesk seems to resurrected in the form of the Wind analysis section. Here we can choose a scale of area in which we would like to experiment with our studies

(but beware, the larger the area, the longer the sim time with a maximum height of 50 meters.)

Here we begin to see the wind's probable direction in a diagram, we can see and overlay them to understand how the wind will behave around the site and find out where it would most or less likely to pass. This can be used in conjunction with our sun-hours study to find where we could place outdoor-related programs that either require more sun or less wind such as seating spaces.

STEP 7: Wind Whispers

Wind Direction:

See the probability of wind blowing from different directions. This helps you anticipate wind chill or identify areas prone to strong gusts.

Wind Speed:

Understand the likelihood of different wind speeds, aiding in designing for comfort and safety outdoors.
